Well it's been a while since I've made a post here. I have been very busy the sales of the C203/C353 Reset Tool have been going very well. You may have noticed that the device has been upgraded and no longer has the little joy stick, it now has a key pad which is much easier to

Ok I have tested this reset device. Well I think it would be better reffed to as a C203/C353 Image Unit Service Tool. It lets you reset the Replace Image Unit Indicator. It also lets you recover from the TCR Density Error. This is truly a remarkable Tool and a must for any /every Dealer who is serious about selling and maintaining this product. If you are paying for chips at this point, you have to have this it will pay for itself many times over.

C203/C353 Reset Box Has Arrived

Yes the reseter box arrived in my mail yesterday. I am excited to test this device. The manufacture sent me a unit that requires activation codes every time you use it. The unit that I am hoping to sell will not require this if I understand correctly. They only included 4 codes with my unit for testing purposes, so I hope that will suffice.

I know many of you a skeptical, many have emailed me indicating so. And yes I have to admit I am a little skeptical myself. But hey someone had to be the first to jump out of a plane hoping the parachute would really work! So in the world of IU chip reseting I'm prepared to take the first leap. Wish me well! I'll let you know how it works out.

C203/C353 Image Unit Chip Programmer

Well as the title says. We are going into round 2 of the C203/C353 chip resetting issue. Round 1 was won by the clone chip producers. Who came up with a replacement chip that would reset the IU life and allow you to continue using the IU. This chip is retailing for between $30 & $60 US. I personally have not chosen to market these chips as the lowest wholesale price I can find is $25 US and doesn't give me much of a profit and the minimum orders they are asking for are substantial.

So what's next? Well I am expecting to receive a new solution for testing shortly. this solution resets the IU chip while still in the IU and still installed in the machine. The concept of this seems kinda strange to me but if testing proves positive, this device will hit the market soon retailing at about $1500 US! OK now that you've gotten over the sticker shock. Think of it this way. If you are currently using the clone chip method at a cost of $30 US this device will have paid for itself in 50 resets. After that you are saving $30 every time you use it, and if it extends the life of 1 color IU by 50% you have saved $250 on that IU alone.

My name is Neil Murphy. You may know me by my on-line nickname Pepper38_cnd. That's the name I use on many of the technical forums where I like to hang out ( like CopyTechnet ).

From the title of my blog, obviously I am interested in the ability to extend the life of colour copier image units, by the reprogramming of the IU Chip. I currently market my own reseter at http://iuresets.com/ as well resell the reseter from chip-life.com .

Currently I provide chip resetting services and the hardware, for the Konica Minolta products and the relabeled version machines of that type.
